  1. ITC meeting (Dec 6, 2016) minutes: approved.
  1. Conference activities
    • Details of ICC17 NGNI and Cloud track were reported. The Cloud track went particularly well as of Ioannis’s feedback, with a spike in submissions with respect to previous editions.
    • ICC 2018 and GLOBECOM 2018: ICC 2018 was quickly presented by Deep. Selected ITC representatives were presented as well: for ICC 2018, Michele Nogueira in the NGNI symposium; for GLOBECOM 2018, Hongbin Liu for the NGNI symposium and Giacomo Verticale for the Smart Grid Communications track.
    • ICC 2019 and GLOBECOM 2019: nominations done were presented, with the novelty of proposing Internet Security SAC track as an activity connex to the new Internet Security SIG.
    • Global Internet Symposium: the report from GI 2017 was published by Radia and Olaf (here). Quite positive event. For GI 2018, the GISC selected Xenofontas Dimitropoulos (FORTH) and Kevil Almeroth (UCSB) as chairs. It will take place in Hawaii. The CFP should circulate end of 2017/beginning of 2018.
    • DRCN: Prosper reported that issues with the local conference organisation company delayed website edition and many tasks such as technical co-sponsorship application. Submission performance and attendance was consequently quite low this year.
    • NetSys: Xiaoming reported about NetSys 2017 that was held in Germany. The conference is becoming an international conference after many years run as a German event.
    • Stefano quickly reported about ITC, TMA, NETGAMES and CIOT, based on received reports from ITC representatives. NOF 2017 was also presented; it will take place in London downtown in King’s College main campus in November 2017.
  1. Awards
    • Xiaoming presented the awards delivered by ITC since 2014. The next deadlines for the career, service and best paper awards were discussed. As it was decided to run the call for nominations on a bi-annual fashion, the next call for nominations for 2016 and 2017 will be sent out end of 2017.
    • Stefano reported about the discussions taking place in the TEAC (Technical and Educational Activity Council) about the possible involvement of the ComSoc staff in the selection process with the goal to decrease the overhead on the TC officers.  TEAC officers will collect TC feedback and make proposals further one.
  1. Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
    • two lightening talks were given in the frame of the newly launched SIG on Internet Security:
      •  “SDN Security – What’s done, what’s next?”, by Sandra Scott-Hayward. Slides are attached.
      • ‘A Secure Routing Architecture’, by Nirmala Shenoy. Slides are attached.
  1. IRTF activities
    • Quick report by Dimitri about the current on-going activity at the IRTF. A summary of the status (active, closed, etc) of all the research groups was done and is detailed in the attached presentation.
  1. Recertification:
    • Stefano reported that the recertification form was sent by the ITC officers in March 2017. The details of the survey run earlier in 2016 on the definition of active membership were included in the recertification form as that point was raised as an issue in the last recertification.
  2. Fall elections:
    • Stefano anticipated that the call for nominations for the ITC officer positions (secretary, vice-chair, chair) will be circulated in July 2017. The deadline will be Sept. 11. Candidates will be announced on Oct. 2 with the request to register to vote. The vote will be on October 23.
